1930s candy striped pointed novelty knit hat with straw brim & pom poms

Absolute 1930s insanity! Pointed knit hat with cartoonish multicolored stripes and a straw brim, complete with pom poms that hang from the hat band. Intended to be worn at a slant and has an elastic strap to help hold it in place. In good vintage condition with a few small spots on the brim. The elastic still has stretch but will likely need to be replaced eventually. I have never before come across such an eccentric hat!
