1950s Rare Spiderweb Beaded Purse with Rhinestone Spider

Extraordinary 1950s novelty beaded spiderweb purse with a golden spider encrusted with ruby red rhinestones. The entire purse is made of bronze beads that appear more golden in brighter light, with a darker shade of bronze making up the web motif. Finished with a flexible metal snake chain handle, rhinestone accented clasp, and yellow satin lining. A truly special example of midcentury novelty and exceptionally rare, I have yet to come across another example of this design. Some minor bead loss throughout the web, only noticeable upon close inspection. Shown in last two photos.
