1950s Sybil Connolly Irish crochet couture blouse

This is a highly collectible piece of fashion history. Late 1950s Irish crochet blouse by Sybil Connolly, known as “Dublin’s Dior”, whose pieces are showcased in the Met and the Hunt museums. Known for using traditional Irish practices and employing women who were skilled in those techniques, each piece is made by hand with great attention to detail. This blouse is fully lined with mesh and trimmed with silk ribbon and features a sawtooth hem. Zips up the back. Has slight stretch. In excellent vintage condition.
