1920s French iridescent beaded black silk chiffon cutout flapper dress

Exceptional 1920s French flapper dress made of black silk chiffon and ornately hand beaded with shimmering iridescent rainbow glass beads. The silhouette and beaded motifs are quintessentially Art Deco, and the dress is complemented by a striking geometric cutout neckline mirrored at the back and an incredibly long 13” beaded fringe hem.

I have never come across another beaded 1920s dress in such excellent condition. Very wearable and sturdy. I only detected two small areas under the arms with a few missing beads. This piece hardly appears to have been worn and was stored with great care for the past century.
